As a web based show displays company, ShopForDisplays has had a great advantage if you're talking about meaningful knowledge in whatever segment of the show industry you're discussing. ShopForDisplay's owner, Lowell Nickens, started a trade show contracting business in the Northwest which GES purchased when they expanded nationwide, but in addition to the decorating company, he started a exhibit display manufacturing business in Portland Oregon called Classic Exhibits. Everything he learned from the school of hard knocks and more, he brings together with his design team at ShopForDisplays.com.
As a former producer of exhibit display systems, we have knowledge of what products and display systems are great, and whose products you shouldn't purchase no matter what. We have to keep things in perspective and remember that not all of our clients want something that will last a lifetime; but we don't want to lose the sale either. The end game is to make our clients happy, and we strive to meet each of our clients needs that uses our services. One of the motivating factors in marketing show displays, is to see success come from your hard work. This is the reason that when it comes to experience, having a broad exhibit display product offering, and products that are built to last, that is why nobody can beat ShopForDisplays.
If you're familiar with the trade show exhibit market there is never a shortage of graphic products and exhibit hardware flowing into any market, to keep all the distributors happy and knee deep in inventory. Pretty good new isn't it? It's not good news when you realize that some of the very people who serve the industry don't understand what the actions of a world class supplier, even are.
Optima Graphics understand the manufacturer-distributor relationship and how they need to structure their business to serve them. Why do companies struggle with the basics of dealing with people like "how you" would want to be treated? I believe that the challenge begins at the top of the management chain where somebody has mistakenly assumed that business and subsequent loyalty comes from distributors as a result of having an inventory of pre packed exhibits in brown corrugated cartons up on the shelves, just waiting for an order. With this model of conducting business, senior management has per determined how long each task that everyone performs should take, how everything should look, and if there is an exception, can be done differently.
Optima is way different in their approach! They understand the difficulties that their distributors have to contend with and have made a conscious decision not to add to the problems that they already face. Much of the time, the problems they deal with are not too great, but the sum total of all the issues they solve are often monumental in the minds of the distributors they serve. Knowing this, I'm sure nobody will be surprised that Optima is everyone's top choice for manufacturer!
