Custom Modular Displays

Custom modular displays are traditionally just the opposite of portable displays; they are normally crated exhibits rather than smaller displays shipped in roto molded cases with wheels. Custom displays are normally found in larger exhibit venues and are specifically designed to attract the attention of buyers in exhibit halls where getting noticed in a big crowd is the ultimate goal.

Custom display cases are made from a variety of materials, some of these include plastic, glass, Plexiglas, wood or metal. Usually, if the display case is made of wood or metal it will contain a glass or plastic front in order for the items it holds to be viewed. Custom display cases are generally used by individuals to display their favorite hobbies. For example, because many display cases do not hold larger sized car models or action figurines, one would then need to have custom displays made. These display cases can be made in large sizes in order to hold a great number of collectibles or they can even be made in smaller sizes that specifically feature one or two specific collectibles.

Custom display cases which are made of high impact plastic usually have a UV resistant coating which prevents the collectibles it displays from fading and damaging. Selecting custom displays truly depends on what it is that you are displaying, size required, material preferred and how much you are willing to spend. For example, antique items look best displayed within a wooden display case with a glass front but this can be costly. Plastic display cases are the most cost effective cases but can damage and scratch easily. Plastic display cases, if custom made are well suited to one's home where they are used to display a certain item and will not be moved around from one place to another where it can damage easily.

Custom modular displays are advantageous for any serious collector in that the collectibles will be kept free of dust and any unforeseen harm or damage. Custom displays holding antiques such as photographs should be kept out of direct sunlight and the case within which it is held should be sealed airtight. Exposure to the sun and/or constant air will allow the photographs to discolor over time, often the photo's end up bending at the corners and turning yellow. Custom displays are not only beautiful to look at but they also look after your collectibles, thereby playing an important role in protecting that which is most important to you.
